Machine Embroidery and Children's clothing

Sunday April 14th
We celebrated Ruthie's baptism at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hiawatha. We had a wonderful day - the weather was beautiful. We were blessed to have so many family member with us to celebrate. Margaret was so proud. She accompanied us to the baptismal font and after Ruthie was baptised, Margaret had to give her a kiss.

Ruthie in her gown.
I made Ruthie's gown for her. It was a pattern from Sew Beautiful - loaned to me by Linda F. I downloaded some free designs from Needlepassion Embroidery for the gown. I had a lot of fun making her dress - much different from my usual sewing. Her bonnet is from her Godmother - my sister Laura. It is an Irish Linen hankie that she can carry on her wedding day. That is if I can find it come her wedding day!
Ruthie and her Godparents

Ruthie and Father Neil.
These are my siblings, My sisters Laura and Mary and my brother Dan. My dress is from KS. There are invisible zippers in the princess seams for nursing.
